Every pupil here is known, encouraged and stretched – in the classroom, on the games field and in the hundred small moments of a school day. This page shows each of the site’s content blocks in turn, the way an editor would build a page from them. Admissions explains how to join us, and our Sixth Form pages describe the final two years.
Each block below names itself and the option it is showing, so you can see every layout the site offers before you choose one for a page of your own.
Text (List)
The Text block holds running copy. Its Formats dropdown offers paragraph and heading styles, the button style and the table colours; bulleted lists pick up the wheel-flower marks in purple, gold and teal.
- Small classes, with every pupil known by name
- A broad curriculum, with music, drama and sport for everyone
- Boarding and day places, with flexible arrangements
Text (Heading 3)
A Heading 3 from the Formats dropdown introduces a sub-section of the copy without starting a new block. Pupils join us at several points through the school, and each stage builds on the last: the Prep years lay the foundations of reading, writing and number, the Senior School widens the curriculum and the choices within it, and the Sixth Form prepares girls for university and the world beyond it. Families are welcome to visit at any time of year.

Sport is part of every girl’s week, whatever her level. Tennis, lacrosse, netball and athletics run through the year, with fixtures for anyone who wants them and coaching for everyone who does not – the point is the enjoyment, the teamwork and the fresh air.
Text & Image (Image Left)
Lacrosse is the school’s winter game, played from the Prep years upwards on the pitches below the main building. Squads train twice a week, and every girl has the chance to represent the school in matches against other schools across the south of England.

A band with no photo paints the dark glow behind its copy. Read about joining the school, or how girls spend their final two years in the Sixth Form – every link on the band takes the gold.

Points of Interest (Colour)
It starts in Pre-Prep, where the youngest girls get a gentle, playful first taste of school, and carries into Prep, where they learn to love learning – not because they’re told to, but because someone noticed what they were good at and made more of it.
A-level courses taught in small groups, a Sixth Form centre of their own and the guidance to choose the right university or next step – the final two years prepare girls for what comes after.
Full, weekly and flexible boarding, with house staff who know every boarder well. Evenings and weekends are full of activities, trips and time with friends.
Lacrosse, netball, tennis, swimming and athletics through the year, with fixtures for anyone who wants them and coaching for every girl, whatever her level.
Individual lessons on almost any instrument, choirs for every age and ensembles from string quartets to the jazz band, with concerts in every term.

Science

Science
Biology, chemistry and physics are taught by specialists from the first year of the Senior School, in laboratories where girls spend as much time doing as listening. Practical work runs through every course, from first experiments with indicators to independent investigations in the Sixth Form.
Beyond lessons, the science society, the Olympiads and visiting speakers keep curiosity going, and many girls go on to read medicine, engineering and the natural sciences at university.
Music
Music
Every girl sings, and most learn at least one instrument: there are choirs for every age, orchestras and ensembles from string quartets to the jazz band, and concerts in every term. Music is taught as an academic subject through to A level, with music technology alongside.
Art & Design

Art & Design
The art school is open all day and most evenings, with studios for painting, printmaking, ceramics and textiles. Girls build a portfolio from the first year, and the annual exhibition fills the main hall each summer.
